A Month in Myrtle Day #12: Stroll Through the Hammock Shops Village

The Pawley’s Island Hammock Shops Village is home to the Original Pawley’s Island Rope Hammock, first created in 1938. Now you can make a whole day out of your visit. The drive to the Hammock Shops Village is only about an hour from North Myrtle Beach and about a half hour from Downtown Myrtle Beach, so it makes for an easy day trip! There are plenty of interesting sights to see along the way and the destination itself is worth the drive.

Hammock Shop

The Hammock Shops features 22 unique boutiques where you can find beautiful collectibles and tasty treats in a historic park-like setting. Forget the big malls and factory stores that dominate the Grand Strand, here you can relax and take a leisurely stroll. The village is full of beautiful flowers, flowering trees, and stately oaks. Come make some memories at this special haven.  Lulu’s Paw Boutique is sure to be a hit for your furry friends. Find one-of-a kind jewelry and fashion styles at Haute Hanger. Sample fine olive oils at High Country Olive.  Discover a unique gift at The Freckled Frog. Enliven your senses at Isle of Candles, taste the wine and appetizers at Coastal Wine Boutique, and don’t forget to take your own hammock home from the Original Hammock Shop.
