Autumn Activities

It’s finally pumpkin season! October began with temperatures in the low 80s throughout much of Myrtle Beach. Even though it may not feel like Autumn, there are plenty of seasonal activities for your family to enjoy this October.

Hayrides, Corn Mazes and Pumpkin Patches

Indigo Farms – Farm and market. October events include Farm Heritage Day on Oct. 4, Pumpkin Day on Oct. 18, and nighttime hay rides and bonfires. Open 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Maze Craze – Corn maze, spooky trail, hay rides, fairy tale trail, and more! Open weekends in October. Visit the website for dates, times and pricing. Located in Hallsboro, NC, approximately an hour from North Myrtle Beach.

Strickland’s Corn Maze – Haunted corn maze, corn maze, zombie paintball, and more! Open weekends in October.  Visit the website for dates, times and pricing. Located in Tabor City, NC, approximately 40 minutes from North Myrtle Beach.

Thompson Farm and Nursery – SC’s largest corn maze! They also have hay rides, a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, and more! Open weekends in October. Visit the website for dates, times and pricing. Located in Conway, SC, approximately 40 minutes from North Myrtle Beach.

Halloween Trick or Treating

Trick or Treating at Barefoot Landing – October 31 from 5-7 p.m.

Trick or Treating at Broadway at the Beach – October 31 from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Trick or Treating at the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk – October 31 from 5-6 p.m., with a children’s costume contest to follow

Family Fun with Tricks and Treats – Trick or treating, inflatables, face painting and more. October 25 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Visit the website for more details.

Howl-O-Scream – Trick or treating, hayrides, marshmallow roasting and more. October 25 from 5-8 p.m. at the North Myrtle Beach Parks and Sports Complex. Visit the website for more details.
