End Your Summer with a Bang- Spend Your Labor Day on the Grand Strand

Labor Day is the unofficial end of the summer tourist season. Vacationers from across the world descend on the Grand Strand during this long weekend; looking to enjoy one last vacation before the kids head back to school. With countless festivals and firework displays, Labor Day is one of the biggest celebrations of the year. If you’re looking to spend your Labor Day weekend in the Grand Strand check out these incredible events!

Labor Day Saturday Fest at La Belle Amie Vineyard

Start your Labor Day weekend with live music and locally sourced wine at Labor Day Saturday Fest at La Belle Amie Vineyard. Nestled in the enchanting town of Little River, SC, La Belle Amie is a family owned vineyard producing wine using centuries old grape vines brought to the United States from the South of France. Throughout the year, La Belle Amie offers exquisite wine tastings and guided tours of their facilities to the general public. Admission to Saturday Fest is only $7 per person. Earn an additional $2 saving off your admission if you bring two canned goods to donate.

17th Annual Myrtle Beach Mustang Week

Do you consider yourself a car buff? Then you won’t want to miss this awe-inspiring assortment of American muscle cars. Visitors can celebrate their passion with hundreds of Mustang owners and car enthusiasts at countless car shows, cruise-ins, meet and greets, judging and awards ceremonies across the Grand Strand. The festival runs from September 3rd to September 9th. Events will take place at various locations across the Myrtle Beach metropolitan area, including the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, Myrtle Beach Mall, Myrtle Beach Speedway and Ocean Boulevard. For more information about Myrtle Beach Mustang Week, visit the official Mustang Week website.

Summer Event Finales

While the Grand Strand’s year-round mild climate and various entertainment options make the area a tourism haven well past Labor Day, the long weekend typically marks the end of several events that have been happening daily or weekly throughout the summer. Events, such as Broadway at the Beach’s Great American Summer Nights and SummerFest! at Barefoot Landing all come to an end after Labor Day. If you wanted to catch any of these events, Labor Day weekend would be the time to do it!

Fireworks

It wouldn’t be a celebration without a fireworks finale. Throughout the course of Labor Day weekend, the starry sky over the Grand Strand will come alive with breathtaking firework displays in a final hurrah for the summer season. If you’re looking to enjoy any fireworks during your Labor Day getaway, check out these three public displays.

  • Barefoot Landing – Saturday, August 31st at 10:00 p.m.
