It’s that time again when Main St. of North Myrtle Beach fills up with the Shaggers for the SOS Fall Migration. If you are not familiar with the Carolina Shag Dance it was known to be originated in the 1940’s between Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Wilmington, North Carolina. The Carolina Shag is a descendant of the Carolina Jitterbug. It is a six-count, eight-step pattern with a rhythm similar to a six-count swing. The are 3 different events for SOS the Fall Migration, Mid-Winter Break and Spring Safari. Coming up for 10 days is the Fall Migration starting Sept 16th-25th. It will be the biggest adult party on the East Coast! You will need to purchase a membership to receive an SOS card to enter the clubs. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to Shag, they have lessons or you can just sit back and take it all in. Main Street in North Myrtle Beach is the happening spot where you can walk club to club, dance all night and meet new friends!
