And, while New Year’s Eve might look a little different this year, the people of the Grand Strand are still ready and raring welcome the new year with open arms and raucous celebrations! Check out a few of the different New Year’s Eve events going on around the Grand Strand!

A Southern Times Square at The Market Common
Can’t make it to Times Square this year? No worries, we’ve got the next best thing!
From 9 PM to midnight, head on over to Valor Park to experience A Southern Times Square at The Market Common! This annual bacchanalia includes delectable food and drinks from some of the Grand Strand’s most popular restaurants, bars, and food trucks, as well as an evening filled with games, live music, and non-stop family-friendly fun. The evening caps off with a fabulous ball-drop at midnight, followed by a breathtaking firework display. This is a can’t miss party!
Please be aware that this is a limited capacity, ticketed event. To receive a ticket, please present a receipt totaling $25 or more from any Market Common restaurant or retailer, dated on or after 12/21/2020. Receipts may be exchanged at The Market Common Management Office during normal business hours until 12/30/2020 (4017 Deville Street, across from Crepe Creation Cafe) or at the Ticket Tent on 12/31/2020 located inside of Peace, Love, Little Donuts.
Once inside, masks will be required when social distancing is not possible and while in common areas—such as vendor and restroom lines.
Banditos Masquerade Party
Bid farewell to 2020 with a good ol’ fashioned masquerade party at Banditos Cantina!
Beginning at 7pm, this oceanfront party will feature live music, drinks, and a touchless buffet filled to the brim with all your favorite Mexican dishes and desserts. All-inclusive packages are $50 and include dinner, drinks, and entertainment until 10:30 p.m. Additional drinks may be purchased until 11 p.m. Of course, if you are not staying for dinner, you can also purchase general admission tickets for $15 before the event or $20 at the door.
Please be advised, seating is limited, so advance ticket purchases are highly recommended. All-inclusive tickets and General Admission tickets for this event can be purchased at Banditos Cantina.
New Year’s Eve at Margaritaville
Can’t make it until midnight? Then head on over Broadway at the Beach to an evening of family-friendly new year’s fun at Margaritaville.
From 6 to 10pm, this festive event will include a live band, party favors, as well as a countdown, and a toast at 10 p.m. Best of all, this general admission event requires no cover charge what so ever.
New Year’s Eve Bash at Rip Tydz
Ring in the new year with the party of the decade at Riptydz’s 4th Annual New Year’s Eve Bash!
This annual event features an endless array of pulse-pounding entertainment, including a live band, DJ, firebreathers, caricature artists, a photo booth, and a variety of virtual reality games. For those of you feeling a little peckish, this New Year’s bash includes not one but two buffets complete with salad bars, carving stations, and dessert displays. Best of all, you will be able to enjoy the Myrtle Beach boardwalk’s annual fireworks display from the comfort of Riptydz’s heated rooftop bar!
This is a party you won’t soon forget!
New Year’s Eve at the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk
Last but not least, head on over to Plyler Park—next to the iconic Myrtle Beach SkyWheel—to celebrate the new year in true Grand Strand style at New Year’s Eve at the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk!
From 8PM-1AM, this pulse-pounding party will feature dueling DJs as well as live performances throughout the evening, along with kids’ activities and a fireworks display at midnight. Beer and wine will be provided courtesy of Hurricane’s Bar and Grill, and hors d’oervres will be served by Premier Catering.
While this is an outdoor event, participants are strongly encouraged to social distance wherever possible and wear masks when in close proximity to others. Hand sanitizing stations will be provided. Hand sanitizing stations will also be set up throughout the park for your health and safety.
