Happening Events Around the Beach this Summer!

The City of North Myrtle Beach Beach Services Division :unveiled a new summer fun attraction in North Myrtle Beach – the world’s largest inflatable waterslide! The three-story inflatable waterslide is set up on the beach near 1st Avenue South in North Myrtle Beach and is open daily at 10am. Tickets are $3 per ride, $5 for two rides or $20 for an all day ride pass. The slide is 36 feet tall, nearly 180 feet long and weighs in at 3,700 lbs. To get to the top, riders must climb one of two 60-stair staircases, which come equipped with form-fitting handrails and non-slip grooves for a safe climb to the top. The most exciting part, though, is the wild ride to the bottom can be enjoyed by adults and children alike.
Kayak the Marsh: Saturday, June 13, 2009 : 9am to noon –Paddle across Hog Inlet to Waties Island, tour the beach and collect shells, shark teeth. Boxed lunch provided by Wild Wing Cafe. $25 per person and must provide own boat, paddle and life jacket. Sign up at Aquatic & Fitness Center by June 11.
Music on Main Concert Series: Thursday, June 04, 2009 : 5:30pm to 7:30pm–Main Street comes alive with the new Music on Main Concert Series. Stroll along Main Street and enjoy LIVE music, shopping, food & drinks. Free concerts take place the first Thursday of the month from 5:30-7:30pm. Click here for concert line up! It’s FREE.
Summer Concert Series: Friday, June 19, 2009 : 7pm-9pm –The Summer Concert Series is back! Concerts start at 7pm on the third Fridays in May-September. Enjoy an evening with family & friends listening to live music, picnicking and playing in beautiful McLean Park. June 19 enjoy Jazztrack! It’s FREE.
Barefoot Landing’s SummerFest: Every Monday Fireworks at 10:15 p.m., nightly boardwalk entertainers including clowns, kids karaoke, magicians, stilt walkers and a strolling boardwalk parade every Wednesday starting at 7:00 p.m.! It’s FREE.
