Winter Wonderland at the Beach
Myrtle Beach has turned into a Winter Wonderland for a second year! There is a free light display featuring more than 100,000 lights stretching a whole mile along the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. The lights display is nightly from 6-9 pm. The festival events, Family Fun Zone, and Holiday Park are open every Thursday through Sunday night. This one-of-a-kind event is sure to delight the entire family. A Family Fun Zone has holiday activities for all ages. See the World’s Largest Bouncy Snowman, inflatables, a Snow Angel Yard, a s’mores-making kit, and more. The Myrtle Beach Holiday Park has shopping, live entertainment, and local artisans. Bring a chair and enjoy live music, carolers, DJs, and performers, all on an oceanfront stage. Santa will be available for oceanfront pictures. There will also be special events. The Great Christmas Light Show
If you’re staying on the north end of Myrtle Beach, take time to check out The Great Christmas Light Show at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex. The park lights up the night with over 2 million lights and 500 displays. Drive through two miles of this enchanting light show. Around 30 animated figures and holiday scenes come to life, and a musical section syncs to the sounds of the season. Easily listen to music on your radio. For more holiday fun, visit Santa’s Village. Find hot chocolate, s’mores, photo ops, Santa, and more! Hop on the Santa Express Train Ride and see the lights up close and go through the Christ-maze. There is even a petting zoo! The light show is open from 5:30-9:30 pm, and Santa’s Village is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights until December 15th, and then it opens nightly. Holiday Golf Cart Parade
Head to Barefoot Landing to see how many different ways people can decorate their golf carts with holiday cheer. The Annual Holiday Golf Cart Parade is Sunday, December 11, 2022, at 3 pm. You can dress up your golf cart and show it off in the parade. The $10 registration fee benefits The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach. You can also dress in your best holiday wear to win prizes. You can always stroll through the stores and try one of the delectable restaurants while you’re there. Visit their website to register.
NMB Community Concert Band Presents ‘Tis the Season
Embrace the sounds of the season by going to ‘Tis the Season, presented by the North Myrtle Beach Community Concert Band. The event is at the J. Bryan Floyd Center on Sunday, December 11th. Bring your family and friends for a night of music and celebrate the holiday season. The music includes holiday favorites and classical works. Hear compositions such as Toboggan by JaRod Hall, Ukrainian Bell Carol by Sean O’Loughlin, The Eighth Candle by Steve Reisteter, and The Hallelujah Chorus by Handel. Admission is free, and doors open at 3:40 pm. The show starts at 4:00 pm.
Rivertown Christmas Celebration
Conway, South Carolina, is close to Myrtle Beach and is a charming, historic southern town. This year, Conway is celebrating Christmas throughout the month of December. The remaining dates are December 8th, 15th, and 22nd. The celebration features activities such as candlelight shopping, Santa visits, carriage rides, living window displays, and entertainment. MarshWalk’s 8th Annual Santa Crawl
Murrell’s Inlet is a beautiful area just south of Myrtle Beach. On Saturday, December 10th, dress in your most imaginative holiday attire and head to the MarshWalk. There will be drinks and dinner specials for participants. Secret Santas will search for the best dress from 6-9 pm. A variety of prizes are awarded at the end of the night.
Holidays at the Hammock
There is a 100% chance of snow at Crooked Hammock Brewery. Every weekend during December, the Crooked Hammock Brewery yard will be full of snow with the help of snow machines, of course. Adults and children alike can have a blast. There are four-holiday beers on tap and the popular Lift Ticket. Experience the magic of the season when you visit Santa’s Workshop.
