Myrtle Beach Fishing Piers

Pier fishing in Myrtle Beach is a favorite pastime of locals as well as tourists and the Myrtle Beach area offers plenty of popular choices to anglers of all skill levels.

Cherry Grove Pier– Offering a full service bait and tackle shop the Cherry Grove Pier is a popular destination for fishers in the North Myrtle Beach area.  The Cherry Grove Pier is 985 feet long and offers a two story observation deck.  Take a break from fishing and head over to the café and have a drink and a great sandwich.

Apache Pier-The East Coast’s longest wooden fishing pier!  Located at the Apache Campgrounds but open to the public.  This pier welcomes groups, family reunions and even wedding parties.

2nd Avenue Pier-A Myrtle Beach Landmark!  Located on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and home to the Pier House Restaurant the 2nd Avenue Pier is fun for the whole family.  Whether you’re there to fish, eat, or just take a stroll and enjoy the breeze and sounds of the ocean the 2nd Avenue Pier is a must stop destination for your next Myrtle Beach Vacation!

Myrtle Beach State Park Pier– Along the far-reaching stretch of Grand Strand coastline, Myrtle Beach State Park sits nestled among oceanfront maritime forest. A quiet, and surprisingly green, escape from the otherwise bustling beach, the park provides educational opportunities, a nature trail and some of the best surf fishing South Carolina has to offer as well as stunning ocean views and another great fishing spot on Myrtle Beach pier.

Springmaid Pier– Springmaid Pier has been voted “Best of the Beach” many times over the years. It’s one of South Carolina’s longest and most accommodating piers, at 1,060 feet long, 36 feet wide, with a 110- foot T at the end. A Myrtle Beach landmark, this pier is the site of numerous fishing tournaments and offers one of the best views of the entire Grand Strand. Springmaid Pier holds the record for the largest Spanish mackerel catch at 125 pounds!

Pier 14 Seafood Restaurant & Fishing Pier– Pier 14 is the perfect spot to bring the family for fishing on the Grand Strand. Originally built in 1926 this historic land mark has survived direct hits from several hurricanes but continues to stand strong today. Attached to the pier is one of the best local restaurants in the area, fresh seafood, Prime Rib, and grilled steaks are served daily.  Of course there is a tackle shop & gift store that can assist you with all your fishing needs.
