Family fun abounds at BEAUTIFUL BROOKGREEN GARDENS.
Brookgreen Gardens is a National Historic Landmark with the largest collection of American figurative sculpture in an outdoor setting in the world. The gardens feature the natural flora and fauna of the South Carolina low country. Brookgreen has the ONLY ZOO accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums on the coast of the Carolinas. For years they have held exciting summer events and this summer is no exception.
Experience BROOKGREEN GARDENS at twilight during their Cool Summer Evenings program this summer. A series of exciting and varied musical offerings are planned for every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday throughout the Summer. Cruises down the creek are available at 5 and 6 p.m. each evening. Tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for children in addition to garden admission. All performances begin at 7 p.m. and the gardens are open until 9 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to be more comfortable during the performances. Be sure to visit the Pavilion Restaurant, on Wednesday and Friday evenings, for dinner until 7 p.m.
