We frequently receive questions about handicap accessible options for visitors of North Myrtle Beach so we’ve listed some information here that may be helpful to guests of our area with disabilities. In North Myrtle Beach, beach access wheelchairs are available from Memorial Day to Labor Day. These chairs are sturdy and come equipped with an umbrella and large balloon tires that are easy to push through soft sand. For further information call (843) 280-5584.

In Myrtle Beach, beach wheelchairs are available at the lifeguard stands at the following locations, which also offer handicap parking.
Under South Carolina law, anyone with a valid handicapped hang tag or license plate, as well as anyone with a valid Disabled American Veterans or Purple Heart license plate, may park for free at any parking meter in the state. Mini-Golf:

Thrill seekers will soon have some new choices for entertainment along Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach. In addition to the already popular Myrtle Beach Skywheel and Slingshot a couple of new zip line attractions are expected to be open just in time for the summer season. Construction should begin soon on a new zip line attraction at the old Pavillion site on Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach. According to Adrenaline Adventures, who is overseeing the project, the new attraction is expected to be open by April 1st. Construction for another zip line attraction on the south end of Ocean Boulevard near Damon’s Restaurant should also start in the next few weeks and is planned to be open by mid-may.
Also along Ocean Boulevard, Peaches Corner has received a brand new face lift and has added new menu items to their lineup. The popular Myrtle Beach restaurant has plans for a 75th anniversary party sometime in the early spring.
