Tax Free Weekend

Don’t forget to take advantage of the big South Carolina tax free holiday this weekend. It only takes place once a year and it’s happening August 5-7.  The sales tax holiday means you’ll save 6% off your purchases of school supplies, computers, printers and other essential items your little ones (and not so little ones) will need to start the new school year.  If you’re wondering what else is covered, you can download the complete list of qualifying items covered by the SC Sales Tax Holiday.

SC Tax Holiday this weekend August 7th – 9th

The biggest non-holiday shopping weekend of the year is almost here. South Carolina has designated this weekend as a “tax free” shopping. This is designed to help lessen the cost of getting kids back to school. A short list of tax free items that can be purchased is below.

  • Clothing and footwear.

  • Clothing accessories.

  • School supplies.

  • Computers, accessories and software.

  • Linens
